Employment Policies
Standards of Appearance
Personal appearance creates a first
impression and is very important at the Club. Cleanliness and proper
attire are vital to our business and our employees are expected to
adhere to strict standards of appearance.

Hairstyles
should be conservative and male employees are expected to maintain their
hair above the collar. Beards must be grown evenly throughout the face
(no uneven patches or goatees) and be well-kept and trimmed. Mustaches
must be short and neatly trimmed, no longer than the corners of the
mouth. Beards and mustaches cannot be grown while employed. Sideburns
are to be shaven to the middle of the ear. Some departments require
employees to cover their hair or wear it tied back.
Jewelry should be conservative and
worn in moderation. Male employees are not allowed to wear earrings.
Female
employees may wear one pair of small earrings.
Most departments provide uniforms and nametags. Employees are
required to wear these while on duty.
Drug Free Workplace
The Jupiter Island Club believes that
the use of drugs and/or alcohol by employees can influence our
customers’ confidence in us, lower productivity of the club, and
endanger the safety of everyone. The Club therefore requires all
employees, as a condition of employment, to submit to a drug and/or
alcohol test at a laboratory chosen by the Club.
Equal Employment Opportunity
It is the policy of the Club to grant equal
employment opportunities throughout the employment process, from
selection through termination, to all qualified persons without regard
to race, color, sex, religion, age, national origin, disability,
veteran’s status, marital status, citizenship status or membership in
any other legally protected class or group. |
